Molchan Marine Sciences President, Marianne Molchan was a requested to speak on the use of Augmented Reality and other forward looking deep sea technologies proposed by the Ocean Technology Foundation in the Marine Environment at an all day “private” symposium entitled “Maritime Futures – The Undersea Environment: Commercial and Scientific Activities”. The Office of Net Assessment is lead by Andy Marshall and exists under the Secretary of Defense. This symposium featured topics such as:

  • Undersea Threats.
  • Undersea Assets.
  • Commercial, Recreational and Scientific Activities Undersea.
  • International Seabed Authority.
  • Undersea Power Grids and Fiber Optics.
  • Underwater Visualization.
  • Ultra Deepwater Activities.
