Molchan Marine Sciences supported the VideoRay team by providing background information to the evaluators of the Ship Hull Object Localization System Festival. From February 20 - March 3, 2006, the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) program office and the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division hosted an advanced technology evaluation of unmanned maritime vehicles for ship hull inspection missions as part of a market research effort. The purpose of this event was to evaluate the technical feasibility of candidate technologies in conducting underwater ship hull object inspection and localization missions in support of the Navy EOD Ship Hull Object Localization System (HULS) acquisition program. VideoRay worked in conjunction with Blueview Technologies ProViewer multi-beam sonar and Desert Star AquaMap Ship Hull Inspection System to provide one of the most mature and robust systems at the Festival.
